Happy Birthday To Me
Honoring God’s blessings that flow through my life with the gift of poetry.
36 years of living and I’m still learning to be grateful
Closer to 40 and I’m still building and hopeful
Thankful for being created in His image
God knew what He was doing, even with the blemishes
Giving credit, honor, glory and praise where and when it is due
So much purpose deposited inside of me
Praying to God, He helps me see it through
To you and you and you and even you
Because it’s so much bigger than one
And one just cannot or even is supposed to get it all done
Blessed beyond measure with my family and friends
Realizing my mistakes is not where my story ends
God is so faithful to do what He said He would do
Pressing forward to ensure all my dreams given from Him come true.
